"Hi, my name's Joe, and I'm at Breaktime Billiards in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today we're going to talk about how do you take care of your pool cue. You can spend a lot of money on your pool cue. So you don't want to treat it haphazardly. You should not leave it out in the car, because the heat that builds up in the car will change the, the expansion of your stick. It could cause it to warp. The cold, if it's winter time on your ferrule can make it brittle. And, but again, the main reason is that the temperature changes from going in the hot car to inside can cause your stick to warp. As far as cleaning your stick goes, there's different schools for that. Some use a magic eraser. Myself, if I'm going to clean a stick I just use lighter fluid. It takes off the, takes off the chalk and the powder off the stick without raising the grain. And it dries very quickly. And once I'm finished, I don't have to do it as far as burnishing it or taking a very high grit sandpaper to it to get rid of the rough edges. The tip, you want to make sure that you keep it rounded. About a nickel or a dime's radius. And use a rag to wipe your stick down to get the sweat and the grime off. If you do this, your stick should last you quite a long time."
