"Hi, my name's Joe, and I'm at Break Time Billiards, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today, we're going to talk about how to make a bridge. The bridge that I'm going to do first is a closed bridge. Now, an easy way to do a closed bridge is you spread your fingers and your thumb, you make an OK, and then you bring your middle finger down. Put the stick through the hole between your forefinger and your middle finger, and then just set it down on the table. Now, that is a closed bridge. You want the, you want it to be not real loose in here, but you don't want to bear down on it. You've got to be able to slide the stick through nice and smooth, and nice and easy. That is a closed bridge. An open bridge; start the same way with your hand spread, take your forefinger, bend it straight down, and put your thumb on your forefinger. Then, take and set it on the table, place your stick on the "V" that's made with the thumb and forefinger, and now you have an open bridge. That's two bridges that you can use in shooting the game of pool, a closed bridge and an open bridge."
