"Hi, my name's Joe, and today we're going to talk about how to hustle in pool. Now that I've said that, I'm going to give a disclaimer. It's not a good thing to do. We're trying to clean up the reputation of pool and to hustle is, you know, is it's it's deceiving. But having said that, basically all you do when you hustle is you try to make yourself look less than what you are. If you're playing somebody that can make three or four balls in a row, then you try to leave them about six balls to shoot at so that they will more than likely miss before they get to the end of the rack. You play just well enough to win. You allow them to win a game every so often to keep them interested. And when all this is done, if you have done it properly, they leave the table not unhappy, and you stay safe because you haven't made anybody upset because they feel like they've been hustled."
