"We are going to chat a little bit about silencers, whether you need it, most people don't need it but a lot of us want it. They are a lot of fun. There is just something kind of cool about going out and instead of having your firearm go bang, bang, bang it goes put, put, put or thereabouts. If you want a firearm with a silencer or a silencer for a firearm fit to it there are several ways you can go about it. Probably the easiest place to find them is on the internet. It's a great resource. You can find just about anything there. Go into whatever search engine you like and either type in silence firearms or class III dealers. the only place you can legally buy a silence firearm is from what they call a class III Federal Firearms Licensee. They're people that have gotten the license to allow them to apply for the transfer stamp which is a $200 tax transfer fee, everything has a tax to it and have are allowed to keep silencers in stock for sale to the public. What you'll need to do once you have determined that you have a need or a desire, found a dealer, it has to be a dealer within your state. You can't travel off to another state. You'll determine firearm silencers are legal in your state. You can do that by talking to a dealer. Find a class III dealer in your state, determine if you want a silenced firearm as a whole single piece or if you want a firearm with a silencer that can be attached to or taken off. Once you have determined that you talk to the dealer, find out what that dealer can offer, what fits, caliber, type, style of firearm you want, silencer, then you make the deal. You'll give the dealer the money. You will fill out the appropriate federal form, submit a photograph of yourself. They will run a background check. It may take two to six months to get that background check run. Once they have approved you, they will send you back an approved form with a stamp, a Federal Tax Form stamp on it, certifies that you have paid your $200. At that point in time that dealer will legally transfer ownership of that silence firearm or silencer for a firearm to you. Whenever you go out and shoot that little puppy make sure that you've got that tax form with you because if local law enforcement come to check you out you want to have that with you. Then you can hope that they have a good little chat with you and ask you if they can perhaps shoot it. That works out real good. In my cases I've always said absolutely whether it is silence or full auto I've just said absolutely let me charge up a magazine for you, have a ball and it works out good."
