"Hello, my name is Athena Reich and I'm an actress and acting coach here in New York City. In this clip I'm going to talk about how to make a living as an actor. It can be very, very challenging. Well you're out there auditioning definitely trying audition for shows that pay something. Another thing that you can do is you can teach while you act although that's not, acting is much less teaching, but its still in the field and you'll still be networking a lot. There are also jobs that you can get where you work in hospitals and with doctors as an actor where you reenact patient doctor situations and you get paid for that, so that's getting work as an actor. There's also sometimes stores that will hire you to be a promoter for the store and they mainly will hire models and actors. That's handing out fliers or talking to the public or selling items at convention centers. There's a lot of very creative ways that you can find to make a living as an actor.
