"When brushing the teeth it's very important when you're brushing the teeth that you make sure you're massaging the gums. When you're massaging the gums with the toothbrush you're doing a two-fold response. One, is you're keeping the teeth adequately clean, and preventing buildup, but also, by massaging the gums you're actually stimulating blood flow to the gums to help keep them rejuvenated and healthy. While it does not directly contribute to reversing gum disease it does help keep the tissue healthy and helps maintain the blood supply so that the tissue is nice and healthy. So basically, in this illustration what we're doing is we're just kind of showing the proper brushing technique, and what we're doin' is we're taking our brush and kind of moving it in a circular motion; not only against the teeth, but we're also brushing the gums. By brushing the gums we are kind of massaging them, and by massaging them we're increasing the blood flow to the area. This help improve the circulation around the gums, and helps maintain your gum health, and prevent things such as gum disease or gingivitis."
