"Alright now we're going to talk about studio etiquette. Now, a lot of people ask what is studio etiquette? Studio etiquette is just a couple thing you need to do when you're in a studio. What you want to do is, what you don't want to do really, is when you come to record a song, you don't want to bring your friends. A lot of times, you know, I engineer and produce and record a lot of different songs, a lot of times people some into the studio, they bring a whole lot of people in the studio that don't got nothing to do with the song. You don't want to do that. Why? I'm glad you asked. Because a lot of times they'll cause distractions to you, and the people trying to record the song, and then you'll end up having mistakes in the song because of all the distractions. And a lot of other times that people start talking, and talking and the thing about a studio is you got to hear. Your ears got to be hearing attentive. And if you're in the studio recording, and people are talking, it distracts so much people from listening to what they need to be listening to. So, a etiquette is always, don't bring anybody to the studio. Come by yourself or just the people who are involved in the song. Don't being anybody who's not doing anything to the studio. It just helps everything go along smoother and you can listen to the song the way you need to listen to. And another studio etiquette, if you're not in the booth recording, and rapping, and somebody else says, this is for people who are in groups, if you're not in the booth recording, and somebody else is rapping, what you want to do is say nothing. Be absolutely quiet, let the person who's engineering and recording the song listen. Don't want to be talking to them, asking them questions. Hey what about this, what about that? No. Say nothing. As soon as that record button hits, everybody needs to be silent. Even if you're out here. They can't hear you in there, but the studio engineer needs to hear everything that's going on just in case there's a mistake, there's a clipping, or anything like that, the studio engineer gots to listen to the person that's in the booth recording. So that's just some studio etiquette. When you go to the studio, pay attention, and listen, and don't say nothing, and don't bring no friends along."
