"Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshop.com. And I'm going to talk about how to write a request for donation letter. One of the most important things when writing a letter of this kind is to describe your organization. Whatever, whoever the party is that's asking for the donation. Give a really concise description of the organization but one that really one you do your best to communicate what the essence of the organization is. You really want the person to want to help you. The next and another important piece of information to include in a letter like this is what they; what the donor the potential donor might get out of donating to you so that it's a win win relationship. For example if you're asking for an auction item for an event you want to include all of the positive public relations that, that the donor will get. And how many people will be seeing their name listed on the banner or on the program. However you will be recognizing the donors. Be sure to really emphasize how much they'll be getting out of it. As much as we'd like to think people are just generous it really helps for them to know what they get out of it. And you want to sum it up by repeating your request and including how grateful, and how helpful it will be, how grateful you'll be and how helpful it will be for the organization. How many people you'll be able to help with their donation. And what it will permit you to accomplish. So to sum it up include information about your organization. Include what the donor will get out of it. And include a summary repeating your request and what you'll accomplish with it."
