"Hi I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com and I'm going to talk about how to write a free lance writer's invoice and if you are doing freelance writing you probably want to have a template for an invoice and Microsoft Word offers some templates built into the program or if you already have a logo and some graphic material for your business you can incorporate that logo on your invoice. Important information that you want to include on an invoice includes your name and your address. You can consider including your social security number depending on if the person has requested that. I prefer to keep the social security number on file on my invoice. The less pieces of the paper that had that information on it for me the better. Include your contact information and e-mail address and phone number. In the body of the invoice you are going to include a description of what the work was, what the rate for the work was and if it is an hourly billing you are going to include how many hours and then what the total rate is. Lastly you will include the total amount due. Be sure to date the invoice and you'll probably include a number on it for your own purposes. So if you have billed this client several times it will be a consecutive number. That is mostly for your records so as you are paid it will be noted on the check. So just to sum up what is included on a freelance writer's invoice. You want to include all of your contact information, include the work, the description of the work, what the rate is and what the total amount due is and that's how you write a freelance writer's invoice."
