"Hi! I'm Laura from Youngwritersworshop.com. And I'm talking about how to write a birth announcement. Most of the places, that you would get a birth announcement printed. Would probably have some examples for you. But think about how you want to begin your announcement. Something like your name and your partners name, joyfully welcome. And then, the rest of the information were to follow. If you have other children, like older siblings that you want to include on the announcement. You might say, Steven, Marsha and their son Jacob, welcome. It's a really good idea to include the siblings in the beginning of the birth announcement. The birth announcement generally contains the child's name. The time that they were born, their weight and their height. It might include another stat, if you want to include something else. You can also decide, whether you'd like to include a picture of the baby. I sometimes think, they look a little bit smushed up. And the most attractive on the day they were born. But some people really like that kind of thing. So it's up to you. So just some things to know about writing a birth announcement. Are to introduce the announcement with the expression of your joy at the child's arrival. And then the basic statistics such as their name and their time of birth. Weight and height. And those are some things about writing a birth announcement."
