"Hi I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshop.com and I'd like to tell you how to write a thank you note. First off I'd like to say that I think thank you notes are really important. I think I really regret that people are starting to use e-mails to send thank yous because I think there is nothing like taking the time to say thank you. I think it is really important it is an art form that I think everyone should pass on to their children. So that said to write a thank you note I think you start with expressing appreciation how much you really just appreciated the thought that went into whatever it was, whether it was a gift, a favor, just really express your appreciation of that person's thoughtfulness then if it isn't a gift that you received describe how much you really like it or some expression of gratitude specific to that item. Then sum it up by saying how much you appreciate that person as a person, that you really value their friendship or whatever your relationship is but really express sincerely your gratitude and then finish it with a closing such as love or your friend and then your name and that is how to write a really nice thank you note."
