"You've just found out that someone you thought was a friend at work, was not. I'm Gloria Campbell, President of Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida. You have to learn how to deal with an untrustworthy coworker. And the first thing you want to do is if you found out that someone has breached your confidence is you want to talk to them. Now you'll notice that I didn't say confront them. We don't want to be confrontational because nobody is ever going to win. But what you want to do is you want to clearly communicate to them that you know what they did, you know what they said and that you really don't appreciate it. And you might begin by saying something like "You know Sarah, I really thought that we were friends, I really value you as a person, but I don't appreciate what you did or what you said." Untrustworthy coworkers are everywhere, but what you want to do is you want to let them know immediately that you don't appreciate what happened and the second thing is you want to make sure that you don't ever trust that person again. I'm Gloria Campbell with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida. Untrustworthy coworkers are everywhere. Watch your back."
