"Now, we're going to attach all the pieces of our boat together. We're going to glue the top layer onto the bottom layer and using a rubber cement type of glue, you can use an all-purpose type of glue for this. It should be fine as long as it doesn't loosen up in the water. The top layer we'll use a toothpick to put into our little triangle that we made from the scraps of the sponge when we cut the bottom layer. We'll go ahead and we"ll stick that into the top layer and that will hold pretty tight as long as the sponge isn't a sponge that has very wide holes in it. That should hold pretty good. That basically is going to be the shape of our boat. Now, there's other different types of shapes that you can use by adding on different sponges. You can make a barge looking type of boat, more elongated, or you could cut different shapes from the sponges, you can glue them together. We're making more of a simple just a two layer boat but there really is no limit to the design of the boat that you want to create. Also, if you just want to use different color sponges you can just put little pieces around and also decorate it that way. There's really no limit to the amount of sponges that you can glue together. For our model, we're going to be using a two layer, making a two layer boat and we'll be putting the flag on top and this will give us the shape. Now we're ready to go ahead and decorate our boat."
