"Hi, my name is Rosario Nene Ortega. I'm a Dance Instructor, Ballroom and Tango at the Goddess Store in Hollywood, Florida. In this clip, we're going to talk about how do a basic turn in Merengue. Merengue, it's very easy, fun, very happy dance in the Latin dances. So when we start with the basic one, knees bent and the other is straight. So we're going to move one, two, and we'll start moving, going around to the right. Okay. And as we go around, we move around always, one, knee's going to be bent and the other is going to be straight. So I'm in place and now I want to go to the left. This is a basic turn. So you start moving your whole body and your hips to the left; one, two; one, two; Merengue; Merengue; Merengue; Merengue. Always my feet are going to be one, two; one, two. Notice that I always place the ball of the foot first. One, two; one, two; one, two; one, two. This is the basic step for turning in Merengue; Nene Ortega at the Goddess Store in Hollywood, Florida."
