"In this clip we're going to be talking about how to get an acting job without any experience. Now, everyone starts from nothing. So, basically here you are; you have no experience. What are you going to do? There's a couple things you can actually do. One if you're still in high school you can obviously join the drama club or be in the drama class. There's experience right there. You can audition for the shows there, which are usually, you know, it doesn't take much talent to get into those shows. That builds you up experience right there; learn the craft. If you're out of high school; if you're going to college, junior college you don't have to have experience to join the drama class in college as well. So, you can start off there and build up some experience by auditioning for those shows or just auditioning for regular community theater. Now, if you want to go straight to TV what you can do is you can sign up for central casting network. They are the largest extra network in Hollywood and New York. It costs, I believe, thirty dollars to join. A onetime fee to take your picture and you're in the data base. Then you can actually call a phone number, hear all the extra work. You know, they give gigs; they have a hot line that tells you gigs that may fit your type of person, whether it be, you know, a Caucasian person, an African American person, an Asian person; whatever. You can call them and they will cast you for extra work. Once you have extra work you can network with people, find out what it's like to be on a set and that will highly, highly aggressively build up your acting experience. That is probably my number one recommendation is doing extra work. You can also find extra work on Craig's List. You can do student films without experience. That is how you can start in getting acting work."
