"The next herb that we are going to use for cold is echinacea. Echinacea is a main remedy for minor respiratory infections. Echinacea is also considered to be an immune stimulant. It appears to activate the body's infection fighting capacity. There are some evidence that when taken at an onset of cold or flu or even sore throat. It can help you get better faster and reduce the symptoms while you are sick. It also significantly reduces symptoms such as headache, lethargy, and cough. Echinacea helps to increase antibody production, raise white blood cells also called WBC. And stimulate the activity of key white blood cells. Recommended dosage for the powdered extract is three hundred milligrams three times daily. You can also take echinacea juice, two to three milliliters three times daily. And whole dried root can be taken one to two grams at least three times daily."
