on 4/21/2009 It is misleading. Ajwain & Thyme are different. Thyme is "Thymus vulgaris" and Ajwain is "Trachyspermum copticum". All other things mentioned about Ajwain seed is correct, but IT IS NOT THYME.

"The next herb that we're going to use is thyme and it's also ajwain seeds in India. Thyme is also a member of the mint family and thyme is easy to grow in your herb garden. Add this spice to your favorite dishes or you can also use it in herbal to sachets to lift a melancholy mood. So you can simply use this in your teas if you like, you can also add in salads. A lot of Indian dishes are prepared with ajwain seeds and thymes. So I'm going to explain once more how you can really take ajwain seeds, which is also called thyme; you can simply take one tbsp. of ajwain seeds or thyme and you can add salt which is actually use in India a lot of times. People take it for acidity but I'm going to explain you also how you can take it for depression. Just add a little bit of salt according to your taste. You can just take it and gulp it down with water, because if you just eat it like that it will be very bitter in taste. You can simply take it in your mouth and just gulp it with water. Or you can mix it with completely with water and take it as a juice if you like."
