"Now, we are going to be in C sharp. A lot of people get intimidated when they see the black keys because they are spaced out, and they are used to playing in C, but I'm going to give you a formula to break it down, you know, venture out into C sharp, venture out into the sharps of the flats and what people just call the black keys. Because, you have the white and the black here. So, C sharp, we going to start with C sharp. Keep in mind the sharp and flat idea I had before I gave to you. If something is sharp, it makes you kind of go up. We base it off of C, and they are going to sharp it, and you're going to go up: the C sharp. And, if you add D, it'll also be D flat because it's right below D. So, you can actually call that two different things, but for the sake of just showing you here, we are going to call it C sharp. Now, you're going to take a whole step skipping the one that is in the middle here: start, your starting point; whole, whole, because you skip that one; half, whole, because you skip that one there; whole, because you skipping that one there; whole because you skip this one; half. So, start, whole, whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half and keep going up. And, I just use that same formula coming back down. After I got used to seeing it so many times so now I know what it looks like. But, you're going to use that formula going up, starting point, whole, whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half, in C sharp."
