"Taking the first step down any new road is always the hardest. Hi, I'm Melissa Tolliver and today we're going to discuss getting your child started in homeschooling. There are two different ways to start your child. If your child has been in school and you pulled them out, there's a specific idea about letting children have some down time. Don't try and do all bunch of academics right away, get to know what your child is interested in, get your child involve in home activities, chores, any kind of cooking for dinner, that kind of thing would be wonderful. Give the child at least a month or so, if you can, and if your state regulations allow it, to let the child become more at home. And then quietly, find out what the child is interested in and start working in to different activities. If your child is never been in school, then you have a much easier task. What you want to do is to start academic slowly. If you have a young child, you want to incorporate activities and games. You want to not sit down so much, but you want to take the child out, give him involve in things like scouting for each community activities. Remember to be successful is important to talk to your child about what they want to learn. Even children as young as kindergarten know they like animals or that they are interested in trains. You can take any of these activities and incorporate them into your curriculum and make the child's learning experience as good. Don't be afraid to try new things, don't be afraid to start in style. It's important that your child be happy and you be comfortable in your learning situations. Thank you. I'm Melissa Tolliver and I hope this help you get started homeschooling"
