"Presenting yourself in the correct light in a job interview will determine whether you get to the second level or whether or get that job.My name is Gloria Campbell and I'm with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida and how you present yourself during a job interview is really key to getting to the next step.There are several things that I want to make sure that you are aware of that an interviewer will be observing. The first thing will be, of course, the way you carry yourself when you walk into the interview. Is your head up? Do you walk in confidence? And, are you the person that looks like they are prepared? The second thing will be the way you shake their hand. Make sure that you've got the right grip. Practice it, work on it with several different people. The next thing they're going to look at is when you're sitting, how you carry yourself and how attentive you are to the interviewer? Some tips, if the interviewer is talking, lean forward if you're sitting. It gives the impression that you're really intently listening. Take notes if you have to because one of the things you may want to do at the end of the interview when they say "do you have any questions," that's your time to look over your list and get anything clarified.
