"Dressing for a job interview for a man is a little bit easier than women have it. My name is Gloria Campbell, I'm with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida. And there are several things that you want to observe if you're dressing for a job interview and you're a man. The first thing is it depends on the job. If you're a painter, I probably wouldn't show up in a three piece suit with wingtips on. But remember that if you're uncertain, always dress a suit is appropriate, white shirt is always appropriate, or a jacket and a coat is always appropriate. One of the things as a man that you're going to be looked at is to make sure that the suit is well fitting or the jacket is well fitting. Even a shirt. If it's a long sleeve shirt, make sure that it covers right there at your elbow there and make sure it doesn't appear to be too short. Pants would be the same type of things. And pay attention to your shoes. One of the things that we used to do when I was teaching a lot of hiring the right person is we always told the interviewer to take a look at the person's shoes. Shoes are kind of the windows to the soul. They tell you how much care you gave in getting dressed. Are they well cared for? Or are they if they're loafers, are they shined? All of those little details communicate to the interviewer what type of a person you are, how much you value detail, and if in fact you put a lot of emphasis on this particular interview. My name is Gloria Campbell. I'm with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida, and make sure you dress according to the interview if you're a man looking for that job."
