"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and make up artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics and I'm going to give you some tips on how you can reduce pore size. You actually can't reduce the size of the pore, but you can help to reduce the appearance of the pore. The pore wall, is you're born with that shape of pore wall and there's nothing you can really do to change it. It's genetic. And over time, too, if you have a lot of persistent clogging or your collagen and elastin starts to break down, it can cause that pore wall to expand as well. So we want to make sure that first of all, we keep our pores really nice and clean 'cause that's one thing that we can do to help to minimize the appearance and also insure that that pore wall doesn't get stretched any further. Using a facial scrub a couple times a week is one thing that you can do to help to keep your pores really nice and clean or using products such as this particular product here which is a salicylic acid based product. You can put a little bit of that on and this helps to keep your pores really nice and clean as well. Salicylic acid it's a really great beta-hydroxy that helps to pull clogs, cloggings out of the pores. So that's one product that you can do or another thing that you can do if you have a problem with your make up persistently laying in pores, is you can use a foundation primer such as this one here. This one has a green base 'cause it also helps to neutralize redness, but basically what it does is it smooths the texture of the skin and helps to soften the appearance of fine lines and pores so it keeps your make up from settling in the pore and it helps to reduce the appearance of the pore. So those are some tips that you can use to help to reduce the look of the pores."
