"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and make up artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics and I'm going to give you some tips on how you can keep your skin from developing signs of aging. The most important thing that you can do for your skin is get a good skin care regimen that consists of a cleanser. Cleanser's really important. You want to make sure that you're removing any dirt and impurities off of the skin. Also as soon as you step outside, you have a lot of environmental aggressors, toxins, pollution that's sitting on the skin so you want to make sure that you're removing that nightly. Using a good toner. This helps the balance the pH of the skin. It also helps to insure that any products that you put on top of it are going to penetrate and work better for you. A moisturizer is extremely important. Moisturizer insures that the moisture barrier of the skin stays in tact. If you think of your skin as a house, your moisture barrier is the roof of your house and your collagen and elastin are the floors underneath, so you don't want to get holes in your roof 'cause then your roof will leak and your floors underneath will start to collapse 'cause basically it leads to signs of premature aging. Using a really good eye cream is really important for the eye area. Our eye is always the first place on our face where we see the first signs of age because the skin is really thin and delicate there, so we want to make sure that we're protecting with an eye cream twice a day. And probably the most important thing that you can do is sunscreen. Most of your aging is caused from UVA rays that we face when we walk outside, so you want to make sure that you're using an SPF everyday before you leave the house. Couple other things that you can do is just make sure that you eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get lots of sleep. So those are some things that you can do to prevent the first signs of aging."
