"Hi, I'm Joe Cuenco with Family resources. Today we're going to talk about how she pops that question. specifically, how to propose marriage to a man. Well just what is the best way to propose marriage to a man? Well before we get to that point, let's just talk about are you making the right relationship progression for that to take place? Do you have the foundation fundamentals of love, trust, friendship, respect and communication? If those things exist, and they're existing solidly, then it's really a matter of have you talked about your long term relationship goals and just becomes a matter of either you asking or getting him to ask. So it's important that we understand our relationship progression and John, Dr. John Van Epp has done some very good work here. So if you have common interests and you have these long term goals, it really becomes a matter of your asking the question, or you're talking together about the question. There are ways it could very subtle in terms of dropping hints. Sending him a card saying, "I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be with you forever. I want to be a part of your family forever." Or the question can be very direct. Today's the twenty-first, we're in the twenty-first century. It's not uncommon for women to take the lead, women to be direct in asking men out, it's not uncommon for a woman to take the leadership role and say, "I think it's time that we talk about marriage". After all, if a seven year engagement doesn't work for you, then perhaps a more proactive approach in getting your man to get off the pot will be helpful. So plan a, plan a special dinner, plan a special weekend. Get him relaxed, get him away from the home. Get him on a framework of mind that he is receptive to the timing and actual execution of the marriage proposal. So it's important that you have the fundamentals there and when really when it comes to talking about will you marry me, it really doesn't matter who says so, it's the point that you want to spend the rest of your life together. That's how we propose marriage to a man. I'm Joe Cuenco with Family Resources, relationships for life."
