"My name is Staff Sargent Hawkins, I'm a local army recruiter, based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Today I'm going to be talking about, how to become an army pilot. There's actually several routes to do this. The usual route we see is, someone that already has a pilots license, and a certain amount of flight hours, they come to us, and just want to serve their country. And a good way to do that if you're so inclined, and you have that talent to be a pilot, is to become an army pilot, and fly one of our different helicopter based, or rotary wing based aircraft that we do have. The other route that we have, you can actually already be in the army, it does not matter what job that you do, you take a test that's called the FAST test, that stands for, Flight Aptitude Skills Test. If you have a high enough score on this test, and you are physically qualified to fly, you can put in a packet, if it is approved, then you will go to flight school, and become an army pilot. If you have questions about becoming an army pilot, or like to learn more about the process and how it works, please contact me at, 801-487-8686."
