"My name is Staff Sergeant Hawkins. I'm a local army recruiter here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, we're going to talk about how to become an army officer. There's a couple different routes you can take to become an army officer. If you come in my door and you already have your bachelor's degree, we can try to get you into the OCS program. It is a...you have to do a local board here, meaning that you sit in front of a board of army officers and answer a few questions just about yourself. It's more or less a job interview, just like a business interview. And if you are qualified by our qualification process and you are recommended by the board, then you can join OCS -- Officer Candidate School -- and go to this school to become an army officer. You can also join the ROTC at a local college, and take the reserve officer training courses to become that officer through there. If you'd like to learn more about becoming an army officer, please contact me at 801-487-8686."
