Sometimes parents need to seek the help of others when raising young children. Child daycare is a great solution for busy or working parents to get things done while their child learns and plays with other children under adult supervision. Daycare centers vary in quality and cost, but all must meet certain state regulations. Not only do daycare centers provide relief for the parent on-the-go, but they also provide a great learning and socializing environment for young children before they start attending school. In this free video series on childcare, a daycare owner and operator discusses several aspects of daycare, including starting up a new daycare, choosing the right daycare and qualifying to be a daycare teacher. Find out the varying costs of daycare per month, and learn about the rules and regulations each facility must meet. Parents and caregivers alike can benefit from these helpful daycare tips.
"Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas with MyWigglesandGiggles.com and I'm going to share with you a little bit about accreditation for childcare centers. So one of the things that a lot of people discuss when it comes to childcare centers is there is really no scale of how to determine, you know, quality or whatnot for centers. There is one thing though when it comes to accreditation and I have a little list here that kind of explains a little bit more. You know, all families want the best care for their children but being accreditation doesn't necessarily guarantee quality but it shows that they're going to go above and beyond the minimum standards and that they pretty much take it seriously, take what they're doing seriously. Like I said the National Association for the Education of Young Children, it's NAEYC, you'll hear a lot of people talk about that. Those, that's pretty much where you get accredited from. Not every childcare center is required to do that. So like I said it's for those who go above and beyond and it takes a lot of time to go through accreditation and it's definitely very, very beneficial for any center that does try to get accredited. But the NAEYC is where to go and you can look them up online and can kind of see more detailed what their criterion's are in order to get accredited with, you know, NAEYC."
