"We are going to explore the world of Instant Messenger Communication with what is called Emoticons today and specifically we are going to explore heart related emoticons. So heart emoticons are a good early emoticon for romance and love and expression with the Instant Message format and so of course the most basic one is a simple heart and I will go ahead and show you now. So you have got a carrot and a 3 and it is obviously a heart. Now you can make that even more effusive by adding lots more threes and make that heart expanding to infinity. Now that is a questioning of feelings emoticon. Do you care about me? Oh no it's a broken heart you put a slash, what am I going to do, you've broken my heart, and that's how you express that. You can also express it in different graphical icons that you can download depending on what messenger you are using this. If you go to Valentine's Day you can see you have got a whole array of heart icons you can download and send off to the object of your affection and so I will go ahead and return back to IM and we'll select a smooch which should complete the romantic mood nicely."
