Summary: The speed of a robot depends on the type of robot, but some experimental automotive robots can go up to 60 miles per hour, a UAV aerial vehicle can fly up to 300 miles per hour and a walking robot can walk up to 10 feet per second. Calculate a robot's speed with information from an electrical and computer engineering professor in this free video on robots.

"How fast can robot go? The answer is it will depend on the type of the robot. For example I visited research center our German car maker Daimler-Benz several years ago, and saw an experimental automobile which they can operate on the freeway it runs around 60 miles per an hour. So just like any other automotive robot can go pretty fast. Now UAVs, unmanned aerial vehicles can fly two three hundred miles per an hour, although typical UAVs such as predators will fly not that fast so that it can detect hostile object on the ground. Regarding the walking robot the fastest one is still in research robot but demonstrated by a German University it can walk around ten feet per a second. The fastest walking robot in the United States was demonstrated by MIT and it can walk around five feet per a second."
