"Hi my name is Charles and I'm going to tell you how to play Gin Rummy. There's a bunch of different ways to play this game but this is the most simple for two players. And basically what you do is you deal out seven cards to each player. Normally you would be keeping these hidden but for the purposes of our demonstration you can see what they all are. The idea is to get all of your cards as either part of a run or as a either a triplet or four of a kind. So as you can see here these have been dealt out and we start off by drawing a card. And this is a jack. Now I decided whether or not I need a jack. Because I can only have seven cards in my hand. I don't really think I need a jack so I'm going to throw it away. The other play looks at this they can either take the jack which they don't really want or they can take their own card. Which is a two. Not so much. You continue on in this fashion until you start getting something that looks like you might be useful to you like ooh hey, this could be useful and I'll throw away this two. This person looks at it and says ooh the two, mmm that might be useful but probably not so they take their own card. Which they don't want either. Eventually what will happen is they'll get, this is a run. Jack, queen, king, now if they could only get some more cards that will help them out. Lets see what we can get here. Ooh three of a kind. So that's good. Now what this person is looking for and they are going to throw away cards that they don't need. So that they've got seven. What they are looking for is probably either the last ace, or a ten, or a that's it, that's all they can use. Is the last ace or a ten. So where's my ten. Ohh boy. This is going to be a long game for you huh. And there you go. Now if this player managed to get these cards together before I managed to get mine together then they would win. And that's how you play gin rummy."
