"Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen from vanveenbulbs.com. Next we are going to learn all about how to use landscape stones to create a flower bed. Now it is so easy to create a new flower bed in your garden and you don't need a large area and you don't need a small area you can use pretty much any area at all. It is so easy to use rocks as a boarder. Now rocks are a big business these days and sometimes they are hard to find but if you go into the yellow pages or search on line you can find a lot of quarries or different garden centers that do carry all types of rocks and you can pick them up in garbage bags or we just go down to the garden center and bring a big garbage can and we fill it up with rocks and use it in our garden. Now all we did was lay some of this landscape cloth over the grass and then we put a bunch of compost on top of that and then we have just put the rocks all the way around the bed. So the soil is not really thick here at all. It is only maybe a few inches thick but as you can see all the plants are doing really well and they love the rocks that make it an easy boarder and you can mow next to it and weed whack to trim it and it makes it really really easy and we did this in maybe a day and a half so it wasn't that big of a task. So landscape rocks are a really easy way to make a boarder on your flower bed. You can also extend your flower beds really easily too and you don't have to have a straight line. That is the best part."
