"Botticelli, Michelangelo, Verrocchio, the list is endless. Should you be planning to visit the Cappella Sistina, the Santa Maria Maggiore maybe you need to place a phone call to Italy. First of all let's determine what time it is in Italy. Italy is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, which means, that it is 6 hours later in Italy than it is on the East coast of the U.S. and it's 9 hours later in Italy than it is on the West coast of the U.S. 011 is the first step, again, that you have to dial. Then 39 is the second number which you have to dial, which is Italy's country code. Then thirdly, please, don't forget that you should not remove the initial 0 from the city code you have to dial. And thirdly, dial the city code in which you really have to include the 0, the initial 0. Italy is almost the only country for which the initial 0 is necessary to be dialed from the United States. So please, don't forget about this new system, which is only since 1999 and please ignore the out-of-date instructions. Last but not least, please dial the remaining digits."
