"When thinking about buying a thoroughbred racehorse, it's important that you look into their breeding. Breeding for racehorses, is often a really important component, as it can tell you genetically, if they're inclined to be a fast horse. Although, breeding doesn't tell everything. You also want to see what a horse's temperament is like. You want to see them race or breeze, and you want to make sure that their confirmation is extremely correct, because horses put under high speeds, they're really going to test their confirmation, and you don't want them to break down. When you look at a horse to buy, for the racetrack, you'll want to make sure you have an experienced racing professional with you, to make sure that they approve of the horse, and think that the horse has potential. You want to have them check the confirmation of the horse, to make sure that they think that their legs, are put together well, and that their feet are strong and healthy. You'll also really want to make sure, that the vet checks them out, and gives you a clean bill of health. Race horses are put under a lot of stress, and a lot of physical work, and so having one that's healthy mentally and physically, is an important start."
