"As a horse trainer, you'll need to be prepared to ride a number of different horses, horses that are difficult, and that have bad habits, because that's usually the kind of horse that needs your help. In order to be prepared for this sort of experience, you'll want to ride as many horses as you can possibly get your hands on, all ranges, from easy to experienced. You'll also want to get as much showing experience as you can, as a lot of times as a horse trainer, people will ask you to show their horses. As a horse trainer, having the basic idea of how to take care of a horse that's sick, is extremely important, as you'll be caring for a number of horses. It's also important to have a good grasp on horse management. How to rotate them into pastures, how to take care of pastures, how to take care of fencing. It's also a good idea to have a basic idea, of how to run a business, as after all, being a horse trainer, is managing a business."
