"Hi, my name is Athena Reich and I'm a singer/songwriter and music coach here in New York City. In this clip I'm going to talk about how to make your own CD. Well first of all, make sure that you write a bunch of songs and you go to your music coach or your songwriting class and you get some feedback on your songs or take them to open mics and really promote yourself and get feedback to know that you are ready to record your CD, that you like your songs. Then, you can make a really simple CD, just go on with you and your guitar singing it or you can hire a band and pay them. You can get some simple Protools software for your computer and do it at home or you can hire and engineer to do it for you and you could hire an arranger maybe if you want to get violins or trumpet, things like that or you can keep it really simple. You go on to the studio, you record a CD and then you can hire a graphic designer or do it yourself to make the insert, to do the design on the CD itself. And there's duplication houses like Oasis CD that, that can duplicate your CDs. It's about fifteen hundred dollars for two thousand CDs. This has been Athena Reich in New York City."
