"You've just received a traffic citation and you have read the back and you see where if you go to traffic school you can lessen the points and the fine. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how does traffic school work? Well this of course varies from state to state and so you may want to check with your state laws to see how traffic court works in your particular state. But generally speaking, if you haven't had a traffic citation within a certain number of months or years, you may be eligible to take a traffic school course which upon satisfactory completion will enable you to eliminate points being assessed against your license and may actually be able to pay a lesser fine and this of course will have a positive effect on whether your rates for car insurance go up or down. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
