"You've just received a traffic citation for driving with a suspended license when you didn't even know your license was suspended. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how is driving on a suspended license different than without a license? Well this of course is going to vary from state to state so the very first place you want to look is your particular state's laws to see how this is treated differently. But generally, driving with a suspended license is going to depend on whether you are driving with a suspended license because you have been found guilty of a criminal traffic infraction previously such as driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated or whether you're driving with a suspended license when you didn't even know your license was suspended because you failed to notify the Division of Motor Vehicles of your change of address or you didn't respond to an inquiry from the Division of Motor Vehicles or something of that nature. But if you are driving without a license, that's generally a criminal offense in all 50 states. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
