"My name is Anthony Maddaloni and I'm going to be talking about choosing a photography school right now. One way to learn about photography is to go to school to learn about photography. Now there are quite a few photography schools in and around the country. Some of them ranging from very expensive, to not so expensive. And again, you want to ask yourself, what are the skills that I want to learn? Now you're obviously going to have to learn the basics of photography. And that's whether you're doing film or digital. The basics still stay the same. The other thing you want to think about is what is the student to teacher ratio? You want a small one. You want a faculty that is really going to have a small class level. And in some ways you might pay more for that and in some ways, if you do your research, you might not have to pay as much. One thing that I like to do is I like to talk to alumni. I like that get their feedback on what they learned from a photography program and what they thought would make the photography fro, program better. I also try to see if my students can sit in on a couple of photography classes. So they can really get a feel for each instructor. Now there are some instructors that might appeal to certain personalities more than other instructors. And that's something that no brochure or pamphlet is really going to describe to you that well until you see it for yourself. And so that is some of the ways that I would choose a photography school."
