"Hi, today, when you make a phone call you don't want someone to know that you've actually made that call. You don't want them to keep your phone number and call you back as a telemarketer. There's a way to stop that from happening. Before you make that call, if you hit star 67 your number will not be displayed on someone else's caller ID. You can also block calls permanently by asking your phone company to put a a phone block, call line blocking it's called on your phone and the number will never be displayed on caller ID. If you want to release that; maybe you want to call your parents, you want them to know that you're calling; you can hit star 82 before the call. Then it will be unblocked. If that sounds complicated it's star 67 to block the call, call the phone company for permanent line blocking, star 82 releases it. That's not available to you if you're using voice over IP as your main phone carrier or system, but it's a great tool. It stops telemarketers from gettin' back at ya'.
