Telephones play a key role in business communication. A positive impression of a company can mean the difference between a sale or a renewed contract and an unhappy potential customer. If someone listens to a sloppy or impersonal voice mail, they may decide not to leave a message. If a sales representative sounds negative or disinteresting over the phone, they may lose a customer. Telephone software such as Live Chat, Skype and Webinar can also save a company money and enhance communication skills. In this free video series on telephone etiquette and technology, a call center supervisor discusses proper phone manners for creating a positive image for a company. Learn how to create effective, even funny, voice mail messages. Not sure how to make a conference call? Forgot how to remotely retrieve voice mail messages? Want to know the etiquette for conference calls and receptionists? Watch this free video series and increase the effectiveness of a business.
"Hi, today we're going to talk about three way calling. It's a really great way to get in touch with people and stay in touch with people. My name is Kathy Pabst Robshaw of Total Telephone Effectiveness. Three way calling is all about making connection with one person then putting another person into that phone call. It's really, really easy to do. On your phone you normally hit the talk or the send button to call the person that you want to get in touch with first, hit the talk and send button again, dial the second number, pull that person in, you're all talking together. It's a free service available through most cell phone companies and most land line companies. Occasionally you might get a small charge from a company, a couple bucks a month kind of a thing. The other thing, if it's an older cell phone, it may not have that capability, so you might want to check that out. I use three way calling to talk to my brothers. Call one up north in Florida, call the other one up in New York and we're together, we're talking, we're having a conversation. It's a great business tool as well. So Kathy Pabst Robshaw, Total Telephone Effectiveness and happy talking."
