"Now I'm going to tell you how to prepare for speed dating. Obviously speed dating is quite a nerve wracking experience especially even if you go on your first one. It can be quite scary, it can be quite intense and obviously if you have never been to an event like it you don't know what to expect. So I'm going to give you some tips on the best way you can prepare for speed dating. 1) Always book your event in advance. When a speed dating organizer is organizing the event they need equal amounts of either sex so you need to book in advance and always ring the organizer to confirm that you are attending the event so obviously if someone drops out then it effects the numbers of the whole event. Stay calm. I would suggest 2) go along with friends but that is not a necessity it just gives you a little bit more confidence because they are in the same boat, experiencing exactly the same things you are. But if you go on your own it is friendly as well because people are going to talk to you. 3) Choose the right thing to wear. When you go on your first date it is nerve wracking what to wear so you have just got to know what suits you and know what is going to look good, you need to make it nice and know what suits you and know what suits your shade but nothing too eccentric, just what you would wear generally on a night out. 4) Always check out the company before hand, make sure you know what time the event starts, you know exactly how to get to the venue and because obviously if you are late it delays the whole event. 5) Don't drink too much. There is nothing worse than turning up at a speed date drunk. You can't remember what you are saying, you can't remember who you have met and then at the end of the evening you don't know who to put down. Alcohol does sometimes help to calm your nerves but it is best not to have too much to drink and 6) just be yourself. Because if you do meet someone they are going to like you for who you are and they're going to see you again in a different situation as yourself. The best tip is just to be yourself and that's the best way to prepare for a speed dating event."
