"Now I'm going to talk to you about how to choose matches when speed dating. In a speed dating event you are going to meet 15 to 20 people and they are all going to be very different so how do you go about picking your matches. Well when you arrive at a speed dating event you will be given a note pad to take notes. You are obviously going to see many people and if you like the first person you met, if you don't take notes, when you get to the end you are not going to remember what the first person said to you. So one key is it is vital to take notes of who you see and who you liked and who you didn't like. It is also, when picking your match you've got to think okay you have the three minutes, could you spend the night with that person chatting, talking do you have things in common? Are you physically attracted to them or is it more just like kind of a friendship thing? People do just get to speed dating events and come away with new friends. They get on with that person, they can talk and they have lots in common. They're just not physically attracted to them and so it's okay to put friends matches down as well but just make it clear on the firm on the form when you are given your score cards at the end to write down your matches. Just make it clear on that that you just want to be friends with that person and if that person feels the same and they want to be friends with you then you will get a match with them but if they put that they want to be romantically involved with you then you would obviously not get a match with them and so you have just got to keep that clear in your head if you would like to see them in the future. Obviously at this point you are not going to be going around to each potential participant thinking do you want to spend the rest of your life with them. We're not at that stage yet so it is just basically keeping it clear in your head, making notes, and making sure you have things in common and you would like to see them again and obviously if you find them physically attractive, then that's a good start. And that is the key to picking successful matches at speed dating events."
