"Hi are you experiencing shortness of breath, cough, a little chest pressure? That might be pneumonia and then again it might be something else such as Mesothelioma. I'm Dr. Savage. I'm an osteopathic family practice physician in Tampa and I'm here to describe the symptoms associated with Mesothelioma. Quite simply it is very similar in symptomatology as having a pneumonia or a viral bronchitis. What happen is you'll have most commonly labored breathing. What happens is the tumor actually has a tendency to cause a collection of fluid referred to as aplural effusion which encroaches on the normal lung function, hence, the labored breathing. The only way to actually diagnose this is by seeking medical attention so if you have any of these symptoms it is imperative to seek medical attention right away. I hope this has been helpful. I'm Dr. Savage and I wish you the best of health."
