"Hi, I'm Veronica Baragas with my wigglesandgiggles.com, and I'm going to share with you, how to get a toddler to take a nap. Usually throughout their day, depending on age, your toddler could probably take 1 to 2 naps. If you're weening to 1 nap already, then I would suggest to maybe do an after lunch nap. And keeping it in routine and consistent with your baby's schedule is key. So there's a few things you can use during nap time. Usually I would read a book, or kind of do a song, maybe- whatever it is that you guys get accustom to, I would stick to that. Also, you can use a lovey or maybe a special blanket, or an animal that helps them soothe to sleep would be better, white noise is really good. So if you don't have some soft music playing, then you can use a fan in the background, not too far, so they can hear that. Usually it takes time for a child to get use to a nap routine, and so, staying consistent and patient, and sometimes they need a little snuggle, or you may have to rock them to help them to calm down a little bit. But that's all, getting to know your baby and their style for napping. So I would definitely set the boundaries and keep your naps to certain times of the days, and also keep in mind your nighttime sleep, so that it can all kind of go together. So, that's what I would do for helping a toddler go down for a nap."
