"Hi, I'm Veronica Baragas with my wigglesandgiggles.com, and today I'm going to tell you how to ask for paternity leave. Now most of the time when you find out, you have a lot of questions and things that needs to be answered. So, I would, at least 30 days in advance talk to your boss about the logistics of how much time you can take, when you come back. You usually are guaranteed the same position, if not, the same pay and responsibilities when you return, there could be some stipulations, depending on what job you have or title, what not. So, usually give 30 days advance, have your things together and ready for any questions that you may want answered, it be good to maybe take some notes, setup a time to talk to your boss ahead of time, and it's pretty simple, it's not brain surgery. So, just, that's how you ask for paternity leave."
