"Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas, and I'm with my wigglesandgiggles.com, and I'm going to share with you, how to know when to start potty training your toddler. There's just a few signs that you can start looking for, they kind of range between boys and girls. Girls usually can start potty training as early as 14 months and boys as early as 16 to 18 months. You can start, but doesn't mean that they're going to get it down. Some of the things that really help with potty training, are signs of communication. If they can kind of communicate with you their actions, and if they're kind of able to kind of tell you when they've gone, when they've pooped, or pottied in their pants, that's a big sign right there, and then just their age, anywhere from 16 to 18 months you can start introducing to them. Sometimes they take it on quickly, and others it takes a while. So, I wouldn't pressure so much on trying to potty train at a certain age, but just more of looking at signs of when there's more readiness of communication, and it's more consistency on their- when you have to change their diapers. So don't put too much pressure on trying to pick a certain age on a boy or girl, because each child is different, and each boy and girl are going to grow and develop at different rates, so just- whenever you're ready too, because it's going to be something you're going to be real consistent with, and be able to keep on top of."
