"In this clip we are going to make Sam the spider in a surprise card, here he is Boo! For this you will need some black card, some brightly colored card, scissors, craft glue and a felt tip pen. First of all we get some black card or paper and all you need to do is to cut out a little circle from it, about the size of a nice button. And then you also need four black strips. One, two, three, four, I think perhaps you know how many legs a spider has. Eight. Four is not enough but we are going to stick them on half way along. You'll see what I mean in a moment. So there's the black spider body, cover it in glue at the back. Ohhh squeezey wheezy. And then press the legs on. Criss crossing each other. One goes that way, one is going to go that way. Another one going that way, half way across so that you see a bit of leg at each end. And I think when we count them up we'll find we have got eight legs all together. And the legs are stuck. So we'll just lie him down there. Can you wait for us a minute spider we won't be long. Now we need some nice card. I've got yellow here. I'm going to fold it in half, that's it. Just to make an ordinary card. Make a nice firm joint fold on there. Now this is the pop up bit. Look at your card, find the fold. Hold the fold away from you. I'm holding it with my thumb and I'm going to do a chop with a stop, and another chop with a stop. Can you see what's chipped in there, that's double, that's the fold and there's two cuts into it. Now then open it out, but my finger in the back, push until it comes out the other way. And there it is. The wrong way round. Pull it and pull it until it's nice and smooth and you should be able to flatten it down. So that's what the card looks like. Now and that's where the bit is in the middle. And you card should open and shut smoothly. So that's where the spider is going to sit. We'll put some glue on there ready for him. That's it. And then put the spider on and what will we have to do then. We'll have to do our counting again. Count to ten. Push him firmly and count, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Mr. spider. And then you can close the card and he's gone. Now if we are lucky when we open it, out pops the spider. There he is. We still got no eyes. So let's find a couple of little eyes for him. I think I'm going to make the eyes match the card. Just cut out a couple of little circles, I will put a little feature of black in the middle of each one. A little bit more glue on the spider's face. Can he just keeps, go Mr. Spider, I think he's called spider Sam this one. You need some glue there and some glue there. Stick his eyes on and he'll be ready to give anybody who opens up this card a shocking surprise. Won't you Sam the spider. And if you are very clever you might be able to draw him a bit of cobweb by joining up the spider with the corners in the middle all the way around there. And then doing a wavy line around that. That's what spiders do when they want to trap a fly. It makes it a very realistic. And that's how to make Sam the spider. BOO!"
