"After you've learned how to jump, and got quite comfortable jumping, on the X in the middle of the trampoline. Simple body bounces are the next step. One of the easiest is the knee drop. Just simply drop to your knees, and back up,and down, up. Now, it's very important that my back stay straight, so I don't wrench my back backwards, or pitch forward, if I'm leaning forward, so I keep my back straight and vertical, down, up. You notice I'm doing that without my arms, and without a bounce. Let the bounce of the trampoline take care of all the work for me. Just set your knee to drop, and back up. Now, I could add the arms, and see I go a little bit higher. Now, normally these tricks are done the lengthwise. I did it sideways so you could see the posture of the back. Add a little bounce, and then knees, and back up. It's a nice, easy bounce. On these hotbeds or string bed trampolines, it's a bit rough on your knees, and you can see the pattern of the trampoline on my knees, already, so if you have a hotbed, or a string trampoline, knee pads. That might be a good idea."
