"Today we're going to talk about how to find the longest lasting nail polish. One of the things most people think is the more money you spend, the better to polish, when actually it's really not anything to do with that. First I would recommend cleansing the nail properly; make sure you got all the oils and any loose debris off of the nail, because if you have any oil on there and you go to put any polish on, it's going to just flake right off. Then you want to make sure you start by using a good base coat to determine, you know, what type of nail it is. If you have a dry nail, you want a base coat for dry nails. Then you're going to want to place two coats of the polish and a top coat. And another good thing to know is after you put that top coat on, if you take and after you get it on the top of the nail, actually hit that edge. That is going to keep your polish to last a lot longer. You'd want to put that on about every three days, after your nails have been polished, and that'll keep them lasting longer, and you also want to avoid any kind of polishes that have the phrase "one-coat" or "fast-drying" because generally they have so much drying properties that they flake fast. And that's really what you need for, you could buy cheap polish and still have the same effect."
