How to Determine Acceptable Nail Length

"I am here to talk about what is an acceptable nail length and first you would like to first start and ask what your client does. If they are going to be really active then you are not going to make them extensively long because they're just going to break. What I usually do to determine if they are going to wear an artificial nail is, take the length of the nail bed here and you are only going to want to make that tip about half the length of the actual nail. So if we were to put a tip on this one here we would only want to bring it out to maybe out there because that is about half that length. That way it is not going to put too much pressure on that nail plate. Now if you are a man you are going to want to keep them short and clean and nicely filed."
